Co-piloting Chaos Nova (19). Killing Floor reunion!

Vaguely around Earth Occidental Standard Year 2014, the drift of interwebs lead my paths into collaboration course with Chaos Nova universe. I have since had the pleasure to dive into their forum-based space opera RPG, dispensing unsolicited advice about universe, life, and everything in the process. Once settled in the "writers' room" and comms all set up, I'd often join in for gameplay sessions too, sometimes just shout-along, but these days mostly active co-op.

Everyone had been busy this spring and summer - editing, non-ChaosNova works, and playing other games took priority over the casual co-op nights. It had been too long; on night we assembled once more for the usual mindless shooty-shooty. We started off with the classics, and followed the call of West London.

Hilbilly Horror map demonstrated that my self preservation had not significantly improved during the downtime.

For the second session we had the whole crew together. The maps followed certain juvenile theme - a schoolhouse (we got wiped out), a skatepark...

For the session's end we returned to a well-worn familiar map.

In the third session we checked out several unfamiliar maps; results varied.

Midway I stumbled upon a map that replicated the whole lab X-18 from Shadow of Chernobyl, and I gleefully dragged the others into my natural habitat.

The Stalker map was a high point for me, but we still had some play-momentum left after that, so we checked out another mall setting (with deadly trains on the side), and completed the session at an Alien-themed standoff.
