Library Lunchbreaking (Vol 12)

In a nutshell: new job brought lunch hours, lunch hours brought regular walks, I brought camera (occasionally), I post photos from those walks.

Just like the two previous walk-logs, this one's from January. My brief stroll around the hill wasn't very eventful. I did notice this fascinating tangle of roots. Also, a rare sight (rare for this winter, that is) - a fragile veil of snow covering the tennis courts.

When I was circling back to the library, I remembered to snap some shots of some interesting buildings nearby (I'd often walk by these buildings, notice them, but couldn't spare a moment to stop for pictures.)

The following shots are not from a lunchbreak walk, however. Oh no, I took these after my shift ended. You see, after the winter solstice over here, the big change, the return of daylight is not immediately apparent. It takes a few weeks and then you suddenly notice: "hey, look, the clock shows past four PM, and there's still some light in the sky!" (I don't know whether people who are not familiar with life in the higher latitudes can quite fathom that strange elation.)
So this was one of those evenings and I had my camera ready. (I even featured one of these shots in January photo harvest.)

I'm already preparing some materials from February and March. Stay tuned!
