(This playthrough so obviously belongs in the pre-invasion world but I figured I'd carry on with this recap anyway.) Last time I took the dive into Pripyat Underground.
This time I continue the dive, with the hopes of emerging on the other side. I do sneak out to restock first, though.
Then back to the underground we go, to meet oh so many zombified.
With the immediate underground area more or less secured, I take my sweet time to explore the big ass central chamber.
After sorting my gear and taking a rest, I pop my nose up to the surface. (The surface is infested with Monolith, lots of them.)
Since I'm already in the area, I'll be helping out with some science (a multi-step mission somewhat similar to the expedition escort in Call of Pripyat). Besides, the ecologists' local hub has a safe-ish corner for a sleeping bag!
At this point I shall initiate procrastination mode, leave the main mission on hold, and once again venture to the surrounding maps in search of unfinished threads and curious doodads.
Next time - more procrastination all over various maps.
