Last time I posted the fighting phase of Operation Multipass. (The operation in a nutshell - instead of playing the different factions against each other, we manually and methodically murder everyone ourselves). This time we face the consequences of our actions. In other words, loot.

So I have been playing ... (128). Wasteland2, Op. Multipass continues.

Last time I set Opetaion Multipass into motion. Turns out I forgot to post the follow-up. So here's the follow-up.
First off, we still have some fighting to do at the Titan's temple. As per usual, there's some tactical convolution involved to keep the robot followers out of harm's way.

Last time we took a little breather and observed the alternate realities in a handy montage.
This time we're ready to carry on with the super-duper master plan. Engage!

Last time we cracked the secret of Air Sierra Madre. (I don't know if Red was supposed to double cross us or if some trigger didn't kick in or what, but later upon visiting the site, we still find him hanging around in the plane.)
This time I'm catching up with that big chunk of gameplay where I try and retry and combine different scenarios with different factions, trying to determine which is the least shitty outcome in the overall scheme. Those long hours are condensed and spliced in this little montage.

Last time we entered Damonta and got our asses handed to us by angry robots. (Then we hacked them and they handed the asses of their brethren to them.) We started to address the situation at the hangar (at some point we couldn't afford not to, because as long as the hangar was active, some murder robots would randomly roll out and attack the civilians when we weren't around).
I ended the last post when we were still having trouble thwarting the hangar robots and hadn't quite figured out how to rescue Binh from the claws of Tinker (not to confuse with one of my player-characters, TinkerING). This time time I notice that one computer in the hangar governs the wireless link between other systems. After taking that out, the rest is pretty much cakewalk.

Last time we properly made it through Titan's Canyon. This time we're wandering to the lands beyond it.
First a breather with preparational diddle-daddle, though. (These usually occur between more significant endeavours.)

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I ended the previous post/session when we were about to dive deep into the Titan's Canyon and those pesky lizards got on the way. After some grind and effort we defeat them... only to find out that we could have circled around a hill and landed on a cozy position where we could have pew-pewed them lizards without getting bitten at all.

So I have been playing ... (115). Have candy, will canyon! (Wasteland2)

Having bonded with the sweet-toothed mutant glob thingie at the end of last session, we proceed to the canyon area, unlocking a whole new stage of the game.

So I have been playing ... (114). Wasteland 2, Darwin village.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I concluded my previous session of this magnificent Wasteland-onward-push when we were approaching the Darwin village, because from my brief experience with Wasteland1, I figured there's be enough trouble for a whole day.

So I have been playing ... (113). Wasteland2, now with more radiation!

Last time I began posting episodes from my intense Wasteland2 marathon. Here is the next batch.
First there was this situation at the Citadel that I knew required high charisma to properly unlock. ("Properly" as in: maximizing the in-game intel and putting it to good use - one of my basic play-principles.) With all the recent levelling up, I finally decided to tackle that situation - there were still some reloads and backtracks involved, but once an interesting development occurred in the field, I ran with it and didn't look back.

So I have been playing ... (112). Wasteland2, in for the long haul.
I shall exploit the header space to boost the signal of our GM's Gofundme campaign: https://www.gofundme.com/blueberrycreekrecovery
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
By the time of writing this post, the intense onward-burst that these episodes are about to chronicle has mostly burnt off. But it will be a bunch-a-dozen episodes and at least a few posts before we reach that plateau, and this is where we get going.
The warm-up run had lead us to a badger-infested mine that was quite a challenge to get through. Things got better when I learned that precision shots to the paws will basically render the badgers to hissing potatoes. (The player characters' shooting skills vary, but at this point most are good enough that it pays off to risk precision shots, at least the disabling kind.)
The first recording that actually worked, kicks in after we've eradicated the badgers and are ready to help the local miners out of a pickle.

So I have been playing ... (108). Dipping back into Wasteland 2.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
In the middle of writing and other works, I've found the opportunities to sneak in some play-time again. After a visit to the Lifeless Planet, I wanted to warm up my long-term processes as well. So I fired up Wasteland 2 (turns out my previous session had been more than a year ago), and picked up exactly where we paused. It's like we never left!

So I have been playing ... (85). Prison breakthroughs in Wasteland2.
The excursion that ended up with us diving into rail nomad affairs was meant to be a short simple matter of obtaining some grenades we could lobe in the prison caves. All detouring and side-railing aside, we did eventually accomplish that - so now it was time to go forth, and tackle the prison challenges anew. By now there is also the added bonus/complication of crew growth.

So I have been playing ... (84). More railroading in Wasteland 2.
I started this session just prior to our unsaved grave robbery from previous session's end. I kept on double-exploring the possibly overlooked nooks and crannies and conversations in search of that elusive whatever that could tick the "solved it independently" box for the rail feud. Didn't yield anything we could use.
Saturday, 14 May 2016
So I have been playing ... (83). Another Railroad-heavy session in Wasteland 2.
After a little marathon of Long Dark, I felt I needed a change in pace - and scenery. Therefore, back to Wasteland where I had a whole lot of unfinished railroad business.
Monday, 11 April 2016
So I have been playing ... (80). WL2
In these next short sessions, I get to know the Rail Nomads' camp more closely. (Last time my aim was discovery without triggering some stuff that might actually change some stuff.) We check out the local bar and library; we also hear more from Ralphie.
Wednesday, 30 March 2016
So I have been playing ... (79). Turtles and toads in Wasteland2.
Continuing the previous session's theme of daring exploration,we went to some new places. (Before we could do that, though, I was attempting to put some pig shit into context.)
Saturday, 26 March 2016
So I have been playing ... (78). First daring explorations in Wasteland 2.
This long sessions was the one where we (I think) properly broke out of that beginner cell.
Saturday, 27 February 2016
So I have been playing ... (74). Wastelad 2 continues.
After getting over that Highpool hump, and earning some brownie points with the local folk, I returned rested, lead my buggers on a glorious rampage against the roach hordes, and returned to town. reaping more praises and complementary healing services.

So I have been playing ... (71). Breakthroughs in Wasteland 2.
When I last left off my Wasteland Two recorded play, I had run into a proper block, unable to overtake a bunch of Wreckers at the Highpool upper accessway. I had also worked out the battle plan to overcome that obstacle. It took a ton of reloads and reiterations, but I did it, eventually. I have been progressing a lot since then, and here's the first post-block session in full glory.
